Mornings will be devoted to physical initiation practices, meditation, and preparatory teachings for excursions. These will be followed by lunch and a guided exploration of the island. You will have the afternoon to enjoy the sea, relax, and snorkel at the foot of your bungalow or the beach, thus integrating the teachings received from a land as rich in beauty as it is in vibrations.

Pilgrimage to the birthplace of humpback whales

This priceless journey will take place as the whales have just given birth along the coastline bordering the island where we will be sleeping, just before they leave for their first voyage on the high seas with their newborn calves.

This trip will be a unique opportunity, with the expert guide who will accompany us, to swim with wild whales and their calves in one of the few places in the world where it is possible to do so with the greatest respect for the circumstances, for those who wish.

Prerequisites: Be prepared to swim in deep water with a guide. It will also be possible to simply accompany the boat during the excursion for those who would like to enjoy the energy without diving into the water.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be able to move easily during nature walks and be in good health to participate in the trip. It will be your responsibility to assess your condition and choose not to participate in certain activities if necessary. The difficulty level of the treks, however, remains at level 1/easy to 2/intermediate.

Swimming with wild whales is an activity dependent on weather and natural conditions. The time of year chosen for the retreat offers the best chances of success, however, direct access to the whales will depend on Mother Nature. In addition to whales, the retreat will offer the opportunity to observe dolphins, rays, and a multitude of other wonders of the underwater world in their natural state.

Additional information

Plan your arrival by plane early in the morning on October 29th (flights to Tahiti usually arrive at 5 a.m.). Upon arrival, you can take a 45-minute ferry to the island of Moorea for $20 CAD. Our host will pick you up upon arrival and take you to the hotel.
