From the human body to the metaphysics of life

with Laurier-Pierre Desjardins, DO

In the holistic view, health is the fundamental state of being. It is always in the background, even when obscured by illness. This original understanding leads us to understand illness not as any imbalance, but rather as balance. The best possible balance found by the body-mind to guide consciousness toward ever-increasing well-being.

This module is intended to be an astonishing revelation of the healing power of the body, as well as yogic applications that can promote health.

Based on a thorough knowledge of the anatomophysiology of the human structure, the yoga therapist will be able to precisely grasp the impact and the physical and metaphysical source of the pathologies to be treated. Through therapeutic intervention addressed at all levels of the being, he will be able to work effectively, and in concert with other health professionals (treating physicians or others), to return to health individuals affected by dysfunction or pain.

What if the body wasn't just what we think it is? What if health also relied on taking the self into account?

The age-old science of the Rishis reveals the existence of three bodies. Optimal health constitutes the complete self-regulation of these. A state of harmonization on the gross, mental, as well as the subtle plane.

The art of medicine and yoga therapy is to resurrect health through awareness of our healing potential.
