The beginning

It all began in 2000, when Sylvie Tremblay opened her first yoga center on St-Denis Street in Montreal. A vibrant and welcoming space, the community quickly grew. To support its expansion, the studio naturally adopted the name Sangha in 2008.

Growth and identity

Through trainings, international retreats, events, and regular classes, the Sangha name became a symbol of consistent commitment to serving the world with purpose. In 2017, Sangha entered a new chapter, moving into the historic Château Viger. In just 29 days, this bold transition propelled a renewed momentum.

More than a studio, Sangha became a true initiatory school. This unique space allowed our teacher training programs to flourish and strengthened our ties with Europe. While our team expanded, our mission remained unchanged: to support personal development and fulfillment.

Returning to our roots

In 2020, our deep connection to the Plateau Mont-Royal brought us back to our original love. In the heart of the island of Montreal, our new headquarters on St-Laurent Street became a true living space—blending nature with technology and supporting our new vision: bridging the natural and the virtual.
