Therapeutic approach and applications in yoga
with Carina Raisman, B.Sc, Yoga Therapist, E-RYT500, ANQ, RITMA
Deepening your skills in anatomy and physiology allows both yoga teachers and practitioners to better respond to the inherent needs of the body. Being more aware of how it functions properly invites deeper self-listening and a more sensitive quality of attention that promotes quality of life, health, and longevity. In this training, you will be able to compare the determinants of health and the protocols that can restore balance, if necessary, on the mat and in everyday life. Using the skills developed in therapeutic yoga, you will be able to better support your students, provide relevant adjustments to pain or pathology, and, if necessary, address the imbalances and limitations specific to individuals who require it through a clear therapeutic intervention protocol.
Case studies, analysis, synthesis and understanding of the body will lead to the application of concrete tools in the face of postural discomfort or physical and mental health problems.
Finally, beyond limitation and illness, providing others with insight and solutions regarding optimal body maintenance and a return to health will depend on the teaching therapist's ability to nourish the individual's conscious relationship with themselves from a holistic and global perspective.
The human body is a miracle of engineering. Understanding and harnessing the determinants of health can help increase health and longevity.
