When the body and its abandonment reveal us to ourselves.

With Albert Bissada

Who is the course for?
This course is intended for yoga teachers, therapists, medical or nursing staff wishing to have additional intervention tools, as well as advanced students ready to immerse themselves in an intimate and profound yoga experience. The official 40-hour certification for this training will, however, be granted to those who already hold a certification of at least 200 hours in yoga.

This is a training that not only offers you a profound, rejuvenating and revealing experience, but also an opportunity to access the means to make others live a similar experience.

In a methodical and experiential manner, this course aims to explore the two natures (yin and yang) of the mind. The conscious mind and the unconscious mind, their structures, their languages, their functions; their independence and their interdependence. In particular, we will deepen the understanding of the symbolic field (yin dimension) and all its importance for the practitioner and the yoga teacher.

Through the slow, measured, and applied practice of yin yoga, we will experience access to subtle dimensions of being revealed through bodily manifestations. The subtle realm, previously buried and/or forgotten, can thus be brought to light.

We will see how to create an atmosphere of depth, transformation and great relaxation for the students or the receiver who offer all their trust to the one who inspires the experience of a class/guidance.

Finally, we will dissect the corpus of more than twenty yin asanas, the sequences involving them, their applications, and how to adapt them to the different needs of individuals.

We discover in the practice of Yin that we can stop the cycle of time; live our malleable, flexible and elastic nature.

The space created gives us our most powerful tools of creation/materialization: our attention and our intention.

He taught pedagogy and philosophy as a senior teacher in the 200-hour hatha yoga training at the Happy Tree center in Montreal in 2014, Yin yoga since 2009, and numerous workshops since 2012 (yoga nidra, guided visualization, etc.) aimed at everyone as well as yoga teachers. He now teaches the Symbolic Modeling course with certified Master Coaches within the advanced faculty of the International Coaching Institute (ICI) in Laval, Montreal and the South Shore.

A graduate of the École de formation professionnelle en hypnose du Québec (EFPHQ) as a Master NLP and hypnosis practitioner, certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists of the United States (NGH), his work is deeply inspired by the symbolic approach of Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, Jodorowsky and the great schools of mysteries and wisdom of traditional lineage (Tarot of Marseille, Sufi, Kabbalah, shamanism, Buddhist tantra, Zen philosophy, etc.). His approach opens us to the symbolic languages of the imagination and the unconscious in order to give breath and meaning to the approach of the Sadhaka (yoga researcher). Thus, the individual who has chosen to know himself and to experience his creative and living potential finds in his approach a richness to fuel his quest.

A committed student of Dr. Madan Bali from 2005 to 2010, then of Shri Ram, direct disciple of Swami Vishnu Devananda, founder of the Shivananda Center in Montreal, his teaching is also inspired by the Vipassana practice that he practiced with commitment for more than 10 years, having himself taken part in around ten intensives (10 days).

"Tools such as asanas, pranayamas and kriyas; prayers, meditations and visualizations are powerful agents of transformation that activate repressed memories of transformative knowledge in each of us." - A. Bissada
